With the booming highway construction and the increasing demand of asphalt, barreled asphalt is extensively used for easy transportation and storage. In particular, most high performance imported asphalt used for high class highway is barreled. Therefore quick melting, clean dumping and asphalt aging preventive asphalt melting equipment is required.

DAT-8B asphalt melting equipment attached developed by us uses conduction oil as heating medium to heat, melt, dump and dewater asphalt with heating coil and conduction oil boiler exhaust gas waste heat. The equipment can ensure asphalt heating quality, and features high thermal efficiency, quick asphalt dumping, low labor intensity and less pollution.

DAT-8B asphalt melting equipment mainly comprises of the dumping box, gantry, barrel bogie and electrical control system. The box includes upper and lower chambers, the upper chamber is for barreled asphalt melting with heating coil around. Asphalt dumping is mainly realized by hot exhaust gas heat exchange and radiation exchange between the heating coil and asphalt barrel. Two rails are provided for barrel bogie in and out. The chamber is designed to heat the asphalt dumped from the barrel further to the pump suction temperature (120℃) so that the asphalt can be pumped out by the pump. If the heating time is extended, a higher temperature (160℃) can be reached. The gantry is provided with a hoist to lift or lower the box door. The barrel bogie is driven by a drive unit to move in and out of the box. To start the work, operate the hoist to open the upper box door, drive out the bogie and load it with asphalt barrels, then drive the bogie into the box, close the box door for heating and dumping. When dumping is finished, lift the box door, drive the bogie to carry out unloading the empty barrels and load new barrels, repeat heating and dumping as previous.

2.Energy Saving: use the flue gal (320-450℃),which is the heating furnace discharge of heat conduction oil) ,heating the asphalt barrels equipment (eventually exhaust temperature about 150℃)and it's the totally closed equipment, more continuous(open) energy saving 50%.

3.Asphalt not sticky barrels: It use the flue gas( the temperature is about 320-450℃) heating the barrels directly, the asphalt is cleaned up totally, no waste of asphalt barrel and environment pollution.
